Country Fire Authority Channel Plan.
The Country Fire Authority (CFA) provides Fire, Rescue and EMR response (EMR in selected areas only) within country and rural Victoria. It is made up of both Career Staff and Volunteers over 20 Districts within 8 Regions.
The CFA prsently maintains a VHF Network made up of voting and conventional protocols. Radios in use include the Motorola MCS2000 and MTS2000 and variants. A number of Brigades also make use of commercial UHF hand helds for use on the fireground and internal communications, although this practise is not endorsed by the CFA. The radios are also programmed with Department of Sustainability & Environment (DSE) channels and provide access to the Victoria SMR Network.
