What is the EAS?
The Emergency Alerting System is a state wide paging network set up for the Emergency Services - in particular the CFA, SES and RAV. -
Who is using the EAS?
Initially the CFA, SES and RAV, however it is expected that the MAS will also eventually use the system. In late 2010 the MFB migrated their paging needs to the system. -
Frequencies & Repeater Sites
The frequency used for the system state wide is 148.9125 MHz.
Repeaters are located at 190 sites throughout the state, ensuring excellent coverage anywhere within Victoria.
